For active military families facing infertility
The FEC is dedicated to helping the country’s military heroes fulfill their dreams of creating a healthy family. While the U.S. military provides fertility treatment for service members and their spouses, it does not cover advanced genetic diagnostic testing. Through Helping Heroes Build Families, the Foundation for Embryonic Competence (FEC) has provided more than $65,000 of our proprietary aneuploidy testing (NexCCS) at no cost to active-duty military personnel and their spouses.
For military families struggling with infertility who would benefit from preimplantation genetic diagnosis, the FEC offers NexCCS if each of the following requirements are met:
- Active-duty U.S. Military Services personnel (or spouse) in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, or U.S. Coast Guard
- Serve on a U.S. military base or facility located in the United States
- Properly screened and diagnosed for infertility in collaboration with military healthcare providers
Note: The FEC does not provide clinical care to these qualifying service personnel; it provides free NexCCS to any active service person (or spouse) throughout the United States who qualifies by the parameters described above.
